Fun Times at the Space Needle

Yesterday we had some friends arrive for PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) today. They arrived early yesterday so we got to go do some fun stuff while here in Seattle. We went to the Science Fiction Museum, The Music Museum and ate dinner at the Space Needle. I really don't have much to say about it because i'm being lazy and I'm working on very little sleep now.

Museums in Tacoma, Washingtion

Today is the third day in Seattle and we decided we didn't want to spend it in Seattle so we went to Tacoma, Washington to goto the museums. We went to the Museum of Glass, Washingtion State History Museum, and Tacoma Art Museum. It was really fun and I learned blowing glass is definitely an art. The glass art is so beautiful and amazing.
At the museum of glass they had a hot shop where they showed you how they blow, shape, and add color to glass. Although we watched them do this for about an hour, I still can't figure out a lot of the stuff is done.

At the art musuem they had amazing calligraphy. Apparently a group of religious people took it upon themselves to write the whole bible in beautiful calligraphy and did pictures to go along with the storys in the bible. These picture were beautiful, colorful, detailed, and they did gold leafing throughout the book.

First Couple of Days in Seattle.

We arrived in Seattle Monday night and Seattle did not give us a very good first impression. Apperently the rental cars are not kept at the airport. We had to call a shuttle to take us 10 mins away to the rental place. After getting our car we headed to the hotel and I swear 90% of the roads in Seattle are one way roads, this is very obnoxious and made it very difficult to find the hotel. When we finally got to the hotel we found out that we had to pay 15$ a day for parking. WHAT?? This is our time share why are we paying for parking? and why didn't anyone tell us this before hand? Well we payed for the parking and went up to our room. I went to bed that night a little grumpy (okay I was alot grumpy) but hopeful that tomorrow would be better. Well around 5:00 a.m. contruction starts on the two building surrounding us. So of course I woke up but my very intenigent husband who brought ear plugs did not. I woke up Jeff and begged for some plugs for my ears. I was just happy I was able to go back to sleep.

That morning when we woke up we walked about a mile to go to a little food market to pick up some shampoo for me. That is when things started getting alot better. Seattle is so much better in the day. After getting ready for the day we walked to the pier and the fish market. It had tons of little shops that went out for miles. There were flower and fresh food stands everywhere. We walked around there for about 4 hours. By the time we got back to the hotel we were exhausted but it was worth it. Today was a good day and I'm excited for tomorrow.

This is my see-food.

The Olympics

This olympics i've watched more of it then I have in my whole life combined. I found a new love for this wonderful event. I had no intentions on watching but my husband loves to watch and I learned and swimming isn't borning. With Micheal Phelps it was quite entertaining. I'm going to list some of my favorite moments of the 2008 olympics.

First is Mens Basketball winning gold. The gold metal game was crazy close and I'm not sure how many times I yelled and cheered at the T.V. I can say that I really didn't like Kobe so much but after these games I really respect him and think he's an incredible player.

Now I really did start getting sick of diving. China was dominating it and yes they are really good at it but I just wanted to see them fall on there butts just once. Last round of mens diving, china was in first and he was on his last dive. I think he got cocky because he totally bombed that dive. The australian in second took his dive and it was nearly perfect. The australian took the gold from china!!! Even if it wasn't U.S. I was so excited for Australia.

Of course I'm going to mention Micheal Phelps. He was amazeing and I'm sure you all know that. My favorite race was his first gold metal race. I think it was the 4x100m relay. That was a long time ago and I'm not sure exsactly what happened but I remember it made swimming not boring any more. GO U.S.A!!!

Men's and Women's Beach volleyball. The men's game I had recorded and I was able to watch the first 2 rounds. The game was tied and the recording stopped. I was so upset. I did look up the results after and learned they got gold. but I would have loved to see the end. The women don't lose games and I didn't exsept them to lose this one. Durning the game I had to rethink about that. The game was so close at one point I doubted them. Silly me they don't lose.

A Singing, Dancing Baby.

Ever since this baby was born he has loved music. First night at home I could not get him to fall asleep but with a little music and mommy singing he went right to sleep. His first weekend coming home from grandma's he was crying in the car, so we put on some music and he got quite fast. I really didn't think much of this because I now baby's like music. But by the time he learned how to control his legs he was kicking them to the beat of the music. Now that he is almost 10 months when music comes on he will find something to stand on so he can bounce up and down to the music. If there is nothing to stand on he will get in crawling position and rock back and forth. Over this weekend Bridger has learned to sing and all I hear all day is ohhh...te ohhhh.....ta ohhhh....ka. This is really sweet, but what his he trying to sing? All weekend we were trying to figure it out. The only thing I can come up with is the song he hears the most of and the one he just has to dance to when it comes on. Not only that, I sing it to him quite often. So I've come to the conclusion that he is singing the Hannah Montana or the Gilmore Girls theme song. We dance and sing to them everyday. So I really don't know what else it would be. If you know please tell me.

A Crappy Weekend

Everyone get so excited for the weekends and they should. I woke up friday morning so excited, but around 11:00 a.m. my weekend went from great to one of the worst. My stomach did a turn for the worst and before I knew what was going on I was barfing in the toilet. I was hoping it was nothing but as the day went on I could barely lift up my baby. I needed backup, so I sent my husband a message telling him the situation and he left work a little early to help me out. I thought at first is was a stomach flew but when I was visiting the bathroom every hour not to throw up but to ummm....(yeah). Praying this was only a 24 hour thing, I went to bed that night and of course I slept terribly. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. I drove to the instacare. I knew they weren't going to be open but I took my chance I was in so much pain and discomfort. They didn't open till 8:00 a.m. so I desided to go back home. My legs were hurting so I got in the shower. This was not a good idea. Not only was I running on very little sleep and I was having trouble eating. The minute I started scrubing my hair I fell flat on my butt. I was to weak to even stand anymore. I forced myself up and out of the shower. With every once of energy I had left I made it to the bedroom. I woke Jeff up and cried for help. Yes, this may seem so dramatic but this is what really happened. Moving on, I went to the doctor and I have a virus. It attacks my stomach and intestines. The doctor said this virus would start going away on monday (Wait, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on monday). I ask the doctor "would it still be okay if I got my wisdom teeth out on monday?" The doctor had a very humorous relpy to this "Yes, but the medication will make it so you won't be able to control your bowel problem and you might go to the bathroom in the middle of the surgery. So if you don't mind and the dentist doesn't mind, then you should get your wisdom teeth out". ummm...I don't think it sound like my wisdom teeth will becoming out on monday. Well, sunday comes around and I start feeling much better. The virus went away early and I am so happy because now I'm getting my wisdom teeth out and I won't poop during it. As soon as the virus went away I got lucky and started my period. My stomach pains were gone but I just gained a new pain. Good thing these pains don't last very long but by the time they are gone I will be dealing with a much greater pain. I am scared out of my mind about getting my widom teeth removed. I cry just thinking about the pain. but it's got to be done. In all this terrible news there is one thing good that has come out of this. I've lost 5lbs and i'm only a couple more stomach viruses away from my target wieght.

Destructo Baby

I'm sure it's a baby thing but this little guy gets into everything. If you don't think it's possible, think again. Today laying in bed, because I'm exstreamly sick to my stomach. My beautiful baby boy is playing on the side of me. To sick to really pay attention to what he was doing. I hear him take the picture we have on the shelf of Jeff and I. Bridger does this almost everyday and he just holds it and stares at it occationaly laughing at it, but that's it, it's harmless. I thought he's just haveing fun with the picture. Well, he got quite, so I desided I better check on him. I looked down and noticed he somehow had opened the frame took out the cardboard, the picture, and the glass. When I went over there to clean it up I said to Bridger "did you do this?" and he just looked at me and laughed. How can you be upset about that. I love my baby he's to cute for words.

The picture is of Baby Bridger getting into our video games. This was an everyday thing until we got our entertainment center.
