We arrived in Seattle Monday night and Seattle did not give us a very good first impression. Apperently the rental cars are not kept at the airport. We had to call a shuttle to take us 10 mins away to the rental place. After getting our car we headed to the hotel and I swear 90% of the roads in Seattle are one way roads, this is very obnoxious and made it very difficult to find the hotel. When we finally got to the hotel we found out that we had to pay 15$ a day for parking. WHAT?? This is our time share why are we paying for parking? and why didn't anyone tell us this before hand? Well we payed for the parking and went up to our room. I went to bed that night a little grumpy (okay I was alot grumpy) but hopeful that tomorrow would be better. Well around 5:00 a.m. contruction starts on the two building surrounding us. So of course I woke up but my very intenigent husband who brought ear plugs did not. I woke up Jeff and begged for some plugs for my ears. I was just happy I was able to go back to sleep.
That morning when we woke up we walked about a mile to go to a little food market to pick up some shampoo for me. That is when things started getting alot better. Seattle is so much better in the day. After getting ready for the day we walked to the pier and the fish market. It had tons of little shops that went out for miles. There were flower and fresh food stands everywhere. We walked around there for about 4 hours. By the time we got back to the hotel we were exhausted but it was worth it. Today was a good day and I'm excited for tomorrow.

Isn't it so weird that they don't keep the rental cars at the airport! We had the samething happen when we went to Florida, except when we got there they didn't want to rent us a car because we weren't 26, ahh. It sounds like you are having fun there after all of that!
the only reason I can think of for why the rental cars aren't at the airport is because the airport doesn't have enough room. They are big cities.
You couldn't rent because you weren't 26?? I thought the age limit was 25. In Utah you can rent at 19 with a extra fee if under 25. Either way what this tells us is we are old enough to Drink. Smoke, get married, raise a family but can't rent a car. Does this make sense to you?
I'm sorry your trip started out so rough! I'm glad to hear it's getting better though, because Seattle really is an awesome city!! I hope you keep having fun!!
I'm glad you're starting to have a good time. we miss you.
I love pictures of food in your mouth! I have one of our oldest niece doing the same thing at my desk!
