The Christmas Shoes

This is my cheesy post for the Christmas season. I'm not much of a fan for Christmas music but every time this song comes on I have to listen to it. Today it came on while driving. I turned up the volume and started to listen. Every time I hear this song I get teary eyed and I hold back the tears as much has possible because I don't want my husband to see me cry and I don't want to ruin my make-up. You would think after years and years of hearing this song I wouldn't tear up every time but I still do. This song makes me always think about my mom. So, you would also think that I wouldn't want to listen to something that would remind me of my mom around Christmas time. It's just the opposite I like to be reminded of my mom, the good, bad and all the in-between. It reminds me that I'm human that I can be in so much emotional pain one day but then the next day laugh and have so much fun. I'm not saying I have really bad mood swings. This reminds me of the loss of my mom and how hard it was and how my heart hurt so bad it was hard to breath, but I made it threw and I'm pretty sure I can make it through anything. It's amazing what a song can do.

Who I Am and Loving It.

I went to a friend’s baby shower and we started reminiscing about how we met. She then tells me that I had so much energy when she first met me that she wasn't sure how to react and it was a bit overwhelming.  I had no idea that this was the first impression I gave off. I asked another friend of mine if she got the same first impression?. She smiled and giggled and said YES.  At my job I realized as I meet new people I get excited and become very chatty and laugh a lot. So, I guess the first impression I would give off would be full of energy. I might not have been ok with that first impression 5 years ago but I've come to terms with who I am and if I'm overwhelming people with my first impression I'm sorry but I do have say that it has not stopped me from becoming friends with anyone (at least that I know of).

At my job I have become friends with quite of few people even with my overwhelming personality. I am having so much fun with them. I was teaching a dance with one of the girls and it was a very slow day. So to get people to join us we decided to dance in the middle of the road. On my way to our cars we all sang jingle bells at the top of our lungs. At the puppet show we would do everything we could think of to distract the other person so they would mess up and when they did mess up we couldn't help but to laugh in the middle of the show. Every day at work I'm loving it. These are the people I want to surround myself with. People that don't care what others think and just want to have fun. 

 

Five things that that I use to be afraid to admit. 

 

1. I enjoy singing at the top of my lungs and do all the time in the car.

2. I enjoy dancing in the middle of the street or in my car. I even love to dance in front of a mirror (It's a little vain, I know). I dance with Bridger every day.

3. I can talk about clothes for hours and hours. Same with video games and my baby boy.

4. I love cheesy pre-teen girl movies and shows (A Cinderella Story, Ella Enchanted, High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Wizards of Waverly Place).

5. I love to listen to Dr. Laura and take her advice to heart. I use her advice when giving advice to other people. I hate to read and I have maybe finished reading 3 books in my entire life and it was probably for school but I enjoy reading Dr. Laura's books and have read most of them. I just remembered I have read the complete works of shakespear and enjoyed it and I would like to read it again.

I was very lucky to get to go to this game. It was so much fun and Utah kicked butt!! 

I Got My Hair Done.

I have wanted to do something extreme to my hair but I couldn't find the courage, I also didn't want to spend the money for it. The other day I read my cousin's blog about how she spent $100 on her hair and didn't like the end results but still managed to tip the person who did it. I thought to myself if she can do it, so can I. If I go extreme and don't like it I can just redo it, it’s only going to cost me $100. This sounded really logical to me at the time, but now it sounds pretty dumb. $100 is a lot of money to spend on hair. I'm helping out the economy! YES, that's it I'm helping the economy by spending a lot of money on my hair. 

I went to salon and I forgot how long it takes to highlight my hair, well this was a lot more then just highlights it ended up taking about 5 hours. I got red highlights and dye the rest of my hair a very dark brown. I'm actually very happy with the results. Although this may not look extreme it's really extreme for me.  Give me your opinion on how it looks; I actually need the compliments to make me feel better about my decision to spend $100.

Yesterday........

1. Woke up.

2. I took Bridger Christmas shopping for daddy's presant.

3. Robin and Adam came over to show us their new doggie.

4. Talked with them for a long time.

5. Went to bed.

Today.........

1. Took Bridger to the Doctors.

2. Found out that Bridger is in the 99.95 precentile for height.

3. Went to aunt Sheana's to chat and let Bridger and Ayden play together.

4. Went to lunch with Jeffry and Baby.

5. Went home where Bridger and I took a long nap.

Tomorrow........

1. I'll probally wake up some time.

2. I will do alot of dishes.

3. Play with Bridger.

4. Hopefully I'll talk on the phone with one of my sisters. If not then they are not returning my phone calls.

5. I might eat something sometime during the day. Heck, I might even goto the bathroom. Crap, that reminds me I need to clean the bathrooms tomorrow.
